Encouraging Global Anticorruption and Good Governance Efforts IQC
USAID created the ENGAGE IQC to support innovative anticorruption, transparency, integrity, and accountability activities around the world. QED, as a holder of the IQC, has provided technical to provide a range of technical assistance service in countries including Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
Through ENGAGE, QED provides innovative anti-corruption, transparency, accountability, and integrity technical assistance to developing and transitioning countries around the world. This includes assistance to the public and private sectors and non-governmental organizations. QED approaches every corruption challenge and programmatic response from a multi-disciplinary, holistic, home-grown perspective, but with an eye focused on real results.
ENGAGE aims to implement appropriate and meaningful strategies to curb corruption in economic, political, and social service sectors in the following core areas:
- Mainstreaming transparency, accountability, the rule of law and sustainability across sectors.
- Integrating civil society, including underrepresented groups, into anti-corruption efforts through increased oversight.
- Fostering long lasting and thorough behavior changes to ensure sustainability and longevity of strategies and activities.
- Sharing knowledge-based solutions to preventing and addressing corruption.
QED's ENGAGE consortium includes The Borders Group, East-West Management Group (EWMI), International City/County Management Association (ICMA), International Law Institute (ILI), International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), Millennium International Consulting (MIC), National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT), National Judicial College (NJC), Partners for Democratic Change International (PDCI), and WISeKEY.
