The need for improved and better access to health services continues to challenge communities worldwide. USAID created the Global Health Technical Assistance (GH Tech) project to help address these challenges and save lives through improved services and programs.
QED is the single-holder of the GH Tech IQC – through which we provide health technical expertise and program support to design, manage and evaluate program activities for the Bureau for Global Health; regional and other bureaus; and USAID field missions worldwide. Our expertise covers a range of technical areas such as HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases; maternal and child health; child survival; population and reproductive health; infectious diseases; health sector reform; health systems strengthening; and on broader cross-cutting issues.
GH Tech staff and consultants provide USAID with the ability to access independent specialists and health program support for short-, medium- and long-term technical services. Our technical experts and services allow GH Tech to support key areas of strategic interest and importance to USAID.
GH Tech has completed more than 490 assignments in support of 58 Missions spanning all five USAID regions and six central bureaus in a wide range of technical areas. GH Tech has fielded more than 400 independent international technical and program consultants to complete these short-term and long-term assignments.
