Thomas Dawson

Tom is a finance and compliance leader with over 15 years of experience spanning both public and private accounting. His work has focused on government contracting, international development, information technology, and real estate. Tom has extensive experience in project and cost accounting relating to Government contracts, grants and cooperative agreements.

As Director of Finance, Compliance and Information Technology at QED Group, Tom overseas the Finance and Accounting, Contracts, and Information Technology departments and is part of the senior leadership team. Tom ensures that QED is implementing effective, efficient, and compliant processes for both internal and external customers. He is responsible for all financial and compliance reporting.

Before joining QED, Tom most recently led the Government Contracts – Finance and Administration department at NRECA (National Rural Electric Cooperative Association) and was a Controller a large Defense contractor. Tom also worked for a Top 20 public accounting firm for 4 years.

Tom holds a B.S. in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant (Virginia) and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
