On September 28 and 29, 2017, USAID’s Global Development Lab hosted Global Innovation Week in Washington, DC. The event brought together donors, implementing partners, and social entrepreneurs, all interested in integrating innovation into international development program design and implementation.
On September 18, QED’s Director of Sustainable Investing, Sean Keogh, attended the Global Impact Investing Network’s (GIIN) conference on “Scaling Impact Investing” in New York City. Over 200 practitioners came together for the conference to participate in discussions with senior and prominent leaders in the field of impact investing and to examine and reflect on methods to advance the impact investing industry and also to address key issues and challenges the industry faces.
Earlier this month, we were thrilled to welcome back Katharine Wheatley Hoffman as Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Associate. Katharine had originally joined QED fresh out of college and it was here at QED where she gained the experience that served as the foundation of her professional career. Now, after almost eleven years, she has returned to join the QED Monitoring and Evaluation team bringing with her a passion for the practice and an impressive set of skills and knowledge.
QED is pleased to announce that our Deputy Director for Learning, Jennifer Dahnke, has been appointed as Co-Chair for the Society of International Development, Washington Chapter (SID-W) Policy & Learning Workgroup. In this role, Jennifer and her fellow Co-Chair, the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Jake Grover, will facilitate discussions on Policy & Learning for the SID-W community by convening sessions and identifying expert resources related to M&E, data-driven policy, and learning topics.
