June 2019 – Building on achievements of the successful predecessor project, The Learning Contract, QED Group was awarded the five-year project, The Learning Activity, under which we will work in partnership with USAID/Uganda to strengthen performance using collaborating, learning and adapting or CLA. This will in turn enhance overall program impact to accelerate USAID’s transition out of foreign assistance in Uganda. Read more about USAID’s Journey to Self-Reliance.
“I am excited about continuing our work with the USAID Uganda team, to support evidence-based learning and promote Ugandan development. We learned so much in The Learning Contract and we will be applying those learnings to this activity,” explained Anant Singh, Chief of Party, The Learning Activity.
USAID/Uganda has long been an Agency leader in CLA as a value-for-money approach to development challenges in Uganda. It was the first Mission to formally consolidate CLA into its program and internal operations, and its CLA-related innovations have been replicated elsewhere in the Agency. It is committed to achieving ever higher levels of CLA performance because it has proven to enhance program performance.
QED Group looks forward to working with the Mission to implement its Country Development Strategy Statement (CDCS) 2016-2021 which emphasizes integration to accelerate development outcomes, demanding greater resolve in using CLA.
