QED’s Executive VP Byron Radcliffe Reelected as SID-W Board of Directors Chair

QED is pleased to announce that our very own Byron Radcliffe, Executive Vice President, has been reelected to serve as Chair of the Society for International Development (SID) Washington, D.C. Chapter Board of Directors for the 2016-2017 year. This will be Byron’s fourth term in this role, having served as Chair of the Board since 2013.

Commenting on the reelection, Byron says, “I’m honored to have been reelected as Chair of the Board of Directors for the SID-Washington chapter for 2016-2017. SID-W, which is the largest of the more than 30 global SID international chapters, provides a unique space in our community for collaboration and knowledge-sharing on pressing international development issues. Our Chapter’s 150 institutional members and 750 individual members truly represent a cross-section of the people working in international development: U.S. and foreign government officials, for-profit and non-profit organizations, as well as universities and think-tanks—working across almost all technical sectors. Having this very diverse membership to draw from allows SID-W to develop programs and forums that bring critical discussions to the forefront, ensuring we work towards positive impact on lives around the world.”

SID-W is a membership-driven knowledge organization bringing together people from diverse organizations, disciplines, and career stages in a neutral, independent forum to discuss important issues in international development — a “global town square.” This unique space cuts across all sectors of development covering humanitarian, stabilization, transition, and long-term development. SID works to enrich the exchange of knowledge and development innovation through unique programs, events, outreach, and networking activities.

Congratulations to all of the newly elected Executive Officers and At-Large Directors for the 2016-2017 SID-W Board of Directors! Read more about the election results here.
