QED is pleased to announce that our Deputy Director for Learning, Jennifer Dahnke, has been appointed as Co-Chair for the Society of International Development, Washington Chapter (SID-W) Policy & Learning Workgroup. In this role, Jennifer and her fellow Co-Chair, the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Jake Grover, will facilitate discussions on Policy & Learning for the SID-W community by convening sessions and identifying expert resources related to M&E, data-driven policy, and learning topics. Jennifer’s career in knowledge management (KM), learning, and international development spans over 15 years, during which she also served as Chief of Party for the USAID Knowledge-Driven Microenterprise Development (KDMD) project. She will hold her position as a Co-Chair for a two-year term from April 2017 through April 2019.
The SID-W Policy & Learning Workgroup is a group of international development professionals actively engaged in issues related to evidence-based policy making, such as data and analytics, strategic policy and planning, project management, and M&E and learning. With events ranging from crafting policy in a rapidly changing global landscape to theories of change in program design, this workgroup aims to inform and influence the ongoing dialogue regarding the evolving practices of policy development, strategic planning, and program design and implementation.
QED congratulates Jennifer on her being selected for this prominent Co-Chair term! As Co-Chair, she will play a vital facilitation role, stimulating insightful and timely conversations between experts and the Policy & Learning community as a whole.
