Southern African nations face some of the highest levels of income inequality, extreme poverty, and HIV prevalence in the world. While the region has realized significant achievements in economic growth, the overall number of people living in poverty has increased over the past two decades.
USAID’s programs in the Southern Africa region aim to increase and integrate trade, fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic, mitigate food insecurity, support democratic processes, protect human rights, fight climate change, and address cross-border issues.
Applying Knowledge Gained from Evidence to Improve Development Outcomes
QED Group was awarded a master indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the USAID/Southern Africa (USAID/SA) Monitoring and Evaluation to Collaborate, Learn, Adapt, and Knowledge Management (MECLAK) IDIQ contract.
The MECLAK IDIQ will provide a central platform for the procurement of support services that will strengthen, support, and facilitate USAID’s monitoring and evaluation (M&E), collaborating, learning and adapting (CLA), and knowledge management (KM) practices and approaches within USAID missions in Southern Africa and in USAID activities across Southern Africa.
